Dr. Morganne Patterson
Owner / Veterinarian
Pickaroon Animal HospitalDr. Patterson, a Colorado native, holds degrees in Zoology and Biology, as well as a Masters in Biomedical Sciences from Colorado State University, and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2012. She has dedicated her career to serving the Windsor and Greeley CO area and now runs her own practice, with special interests in surgery, allergy management, wellness, and diagnostic imaging. Outside of work, she enjoys quality time with her family, outdoor adventures in the mountains, and home improvement projects.
She has spent her career in the Windsor and Greeley CO area and is happy to have been able to open her own practice in this wonderful area. Her professional special interests include surgery, allergy management, wellness, and diagnostic imaging.
Morganne and her husband Stephen are blessed with a spirited daughter Payton, adventurous son Hunter, and two furry kids; Mavis (a black lab) and Blaise (a dilute calico cat). In her free time, Morganne enjoys spending time with her family and pets, visiting the mountains/getting outdoors, or doing projects around her house.

Melissa Gasman (RVT)
Registered Veterinary Technician / Hospital Manager
Melissa graduated from UNC with a BA in Visual arts and later followed her passion for helping animals to receive a AAS degree in Veterinary Technology in 2008. Melissa loves being involved in rescue spay/neuter through local organizations and helping pets of all kinds. She lives in northern Colorado with her husband, daughter and many rescue dogs and cats. She is super excited to be a part of the Pickaroon team and can’t wait to make that connection with every
patient she meets.
Caroline Schmalz
Veterinary Assistant
Caroline has been working in the Veterinary field since 1991. She has been lucky enough to work on both large and small animals. She is happily married and has a wonderful daughter and two beautiful grandchildren that she spends her weekends with.
In Caroline’s free time she loves riding ATV’s and riding her horse on her ranch in Peyton, CO. We cant wait for you to experience Caroline’s up beat energy and attitude!
Lynnette Baker
Reception
Lynnette has lived in Colorado most of her life, with her husband and 2 daughters. She loves spending her time off with her granddaughter, the love of her life. Lynnette has worked in local animal rescue since 2012. Her true passion is saving and helping animals. She has 2 rescue dogs and 1 cat (who thinks he’s a mastiff). “Music and Dancing help me get through the
craziness in life!”

Mavis Joy Yoda Patterson
Labradork / Owner of the Owner
Born in 2021, Mavis Joy is a labrador retriever who has been dubbed a labradork-fish by her two human siblings. She is a ball of energy and keeps the clinic smiling all day long. At home, Mavis loves to snuggle with her family, play fetch and visit with her litter mates who live nearby when she can. As the clinic dog, she assists in cleaning up whipped cream and making sure each exam room is stocked with bones.
